social security and kittens

social security is now set to be completely absolved in 2040 rather than 2041. i was going to get ONE YEAR of soc. sec. and now it's slated to end one year sooner. you see, i will turn 65 in 2040 and that is the EXACT year i should begin to receive something i've been paying into ever since i've been working. and that is the exact year that nothing will be left. HOW MUCH DOES THAT SUCK? our country's administration has issues. seriously. and dear dubya's approval ratings are less than one-third. i love it that we are completely screwing our own future as a country--one thing after another.

on a lighter note, as i was leaving school today i saw one of my little students with his cat and her kittens. so i took a picture. i forgot devontae's cat's name but the three kittens look identical. maybe they should be called fuzzy 1, fuzzy 2, and fuzzy 3. how original.

I am just as ticked as anybody else is about us not getting jack for social security, but be fair--it's not like the problem just began in 2001 when Bush took office. He was inaugurated, and poof! suddenly Congress overspent and double-dipped into SS. This has been going on for YEARS. It sucks, but no one person is to blame, republican or democrat.

yes, you are right. social security has been going down the toilet for a while now. but i do not see the current administration doing much to make things right. they're throwing up their arms. we will be bankrupt. not only that--but we have got to come to the realization that bush is in contention to be known as the worst president ever. his only real contendors are andrew johnson for botching up things after lincoln, nixon who was forced to resign, and harding--whose administration was quite corrupt.

i'm not a republican basher--i actually voted republican for porter county's last primary. i am an independent. i vote for the best possible candidate. unfortunately anymore, i seem to be voting for the lesser of two evils.

I'll be 99 when Social Security runs out. I'll try to leave some in the bank for you.

Guess who!
